At KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation’s General Assembly on 18 May 2016, the Chair Dina Boonstra stepped down from the Board of Trustees after three terms, according to procedure.
By way of farewell and as a goodbye gift Dina Boonstra has created a fund under the umbrella of KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, the Jakob & Carolina Fund. This was announced during the General Assembly. The fund will support the training of people who give support to TB patients during their lengthy and difficult treatment.
Ton van Dijk is the new Chair of the Board of Trustees. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2013 and was a member of the Audit Committee until his new appointment.
The General Assembly has reappointed Dirk Dotinga for a second term (2016 -2020). He has now stepped down as Vice Chair, but remains Chair of the Audit Committee. Mirella Visser, member of the Board of Trustees since 2015, has been appointed as the new Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation.
Maria van der Sluijs – Plantz joined the Audit Committee as a new member.

Tasks
The Board of Trustees has a supervisory task, both prior to, and in retrospect, with regard to the governance and overall operations of KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation. Members of the Board are independent and not salaried. The Board of Trustees approves the annual financial statements and agrees to the financial policy, annual plans and strategic plans of the organization. In addition to its supervisory role, the Board of Trustees has an advisory role in KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation’s overall policy and strategic direction.
