Today, we proudly celebrate the 120th anniversary of KNCV TB Plus, an organization with an enduring commitment to eradicating the suffering caused by tuberculosis (TB). In more than a century, KNCV has made a major contribution in TB prevention and treatment. It all started in the Netherlands, where TB is now almost non-existent. But for quite some time now, we have been fighting this disease globally.
How it all began
Founded in 1903, KNCV TB Plus has a rich history of groundbreaking work in TB control and research. From the beginning, our mission has been clear: to improve the lives of those affected by TB. Throughout the years, we have been working on innovation, developing crucial diagnostic tools, life-saving treatments, and pioneering prevention strategies. Our goal now? A world free of TB and other related diseases. Hence our new logo; KNCV TB Plus.
Committed to a TB-Free World
While the world has made substantial progress over the past century, our work is far from finished. We are committed to investing in cutting-edge research, bolstering health systems, and empowering communities to tackle TB head-on in all its forms.
As we embark on the next phase of our journey, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners, supporters, and the global TB community for their unwavering dedication. Together, we can and will achieve a world where TB is no longer a threat to humanity.
Join us in celebrating 120 years of KNCV TB Plus’s tireless efforts to combat TB, and let’s continue our journey toward a TB-free world. Together we can #EndTB!
