Mijke Donné is a nurse consultant with 9 years of working experience as a public health tuberculosis (TB) nurse, 10 years of working experience as a psychiatric nurse and 5 years of experience working with people with mental disability.
After her training in nursing, Mijke studied International Public Health in the Netherlands. Mijke has gained extensive experience in international settings working as a social worker and nurse in Mexico, Ghana and Kenya.
Within KNCV, as our nurse consultant and with her expertise as a TB nurse, Mijke listens and gives advice to health care workers and citizens on matters related to TB prevention and care. She provides technical assistance to the Dutch TB Program, and designs and delivers training for health care workers. She also advises on cross border TB prevention and care efforts by connecting TB professionals with her international network in the field of TB care and access to care. Additionally, Mijke gives advice on funds and resource allocation to serving special needs for people during their TB treatment.
