Nebiyu Hiruy is a Senior Public Health Professional (MPH) with more than 12 years of experience in governmental and non-governmental organisations in different capacities, from which the majority was in TB, TB/HIV and DR TB program areas.
Nebiyu joined KNCV ASCENT project in 2019, though he was also part of KNCV led Challenge TB project for more than three years as role of M&E Manager (via MSH). Nebiyu has experience on specific M&E and operational research area of TB and HIV programs which spans more than 8 years. He was the focal point of M&E activities for consecutive USAID funded Heal TB and Challenge TB projects, both successfully completed. During Heal TB project, he lead the introduction of performance monitoring Standard of Care (SoC) tool which is also scaled up during Challenge TB covering more than 3,000 health facilities. Nebiyu Hiruy was also vibrant participant in the preparation of national strategic plans and guidelines.
