Erik Post is a medical doctor with over 30 years professional experience working in infectious disease control programmes (tuberculosis and leprosy), community based rehabilitation, health systems research and health systems approaches. Erik has published extensively and is an expert in disease control strategies, TB and drug resistance policies, health systems strengthening, adoption and implementation of the 3HP regimen for TPT, multi-drug resistant TB, clinical trials, development of training courses, and private sector engagement.
Erik was previously the KNCV Country Director Indonesia and Chief of Party for the USAID funded Challenge TB Indonesia project and has extensive project experience, including project design and management, monitoring and evaluation of national TB programs, and building partnerships with donors, national TB programs and other governmental agencies, and local implementing partners.
Within KNCV, Erik provides technical support to national TB programs and local implementing partners, developing evidence-based, country-led national TB strategic plans. Erik also supports the development of user-friendly guides and tools for TB control and management, and supporting the monitoring and evaluation of national TB programmes: including joint international monitoring missions. Erik is also responsible for the programmatic introduction and further scale up of new TB tools and interventions.
